How often should I visit the dentist?
Most patients should have a dental examination and cleaning every six months. However, your dentist may recommend more frequent visits depending on your oral health needs.
What happens during my first dental visit?
Your dentist will review your dental and medical history, examine your teeth and gums, and may recommend X-rays or other diagnostic procedures. Your treatment options will be discussed based on your individual needs.
Do you accept dental insurance?
We work with eligible dental insurance and benefit plans. Coverage varies between plans, so we recommend confirming your specific benefits and coverage before treatment.
What if I have a dental emergency?
If you experience severe tooth pain, swelling, a broken or knocked-out tooth, or another urgent dental concern, contact our office as soon as possible. We will help determine the appropriate next steps.
What is Invisalign?
Invisalign is a modern orthodontic treatment that uses a series of clear, custom-made aligners to gradually straighten your teeth. The aligners are nearly invisible, removable, and designed for comfort.
How does Invisalign work?
Each set of aligners gently moves your teeth into the desired position. You’ll wear each set for about 1–2 weeks before switching to the next one, following your dentist’s treatment plan.
Is Invisalign as effective as braces?
Yes, Invisalign can effectively treat many orthodontic issues, including crowded teeth, gaps, overbites, underbites, crossbites, and mild to moderate alignment problems. Your dentist will determine if it’s the right option for your case.
How long does Invisalign treatment take?
Treatment time varies depending on your individual needs, but most patients complete Invisalign treatment within 6 to 18 months.
What is considered a dental emergency?
A dental emergency includes severe tooth pain, a knocked-out tooth, a broken or cracked tooth, uncontrolled bleeding, facial swelling, dental abscesses, or any injury to the mouth that requires immediate attention.
What should I do if I have a severe toothache?
Rinse your mouth with warm water, gently floss to remove any trapped food, and avoid placing aspirin directly on the gums. Contact our office as soon as possible so we can identify and treat the cause of your pain.
Can I get a same-day emergency dental appointment?
Yes. We do our best to accommodate same-day emergency appointments whenever possible. Please call us immediately so we can assess your situation and schedule you as quickly as possible.
What should I do if my tooth gets knocked out?
Handle the tooth by the crown (not the root), gently rinse it if dirty, and try to place it back into the socket. If that’s not possible, keep it in milk or saliva and visit us immediately. Prompt treatment offers the best chance of saving the tooth.
What is Zoom Teeth Whitening?
Zoom Teeth Whitening is a professional in-office treatment that uses a specialized whitening gel and LED light to brighten your teeth by several shades in about an hour.
How does Zoom Whitening work?
A hydrogen peroxide-based whitening gel is applied to your teeth and activated with a special LED light. This helps break down stains and discoloration, leaving your teeth noticeably whiter.
How long does the treatment take?
A typical Zoom Whitening appointment takes about 60–90 minutes, including preparation, the whitening procedure, and post-treatment instructions.
How many shades whiter will my teeth become?
Results vary from person to person, but many patients achieve teeth that are up to 8 shades whiter after a single treatment.
