Regular dental exams are a critical part of preventive health care. During an exam, dentist will check teeth, jaw, gums, oral mucosa, tongue for any abnormalities, oral- cancer screening and evaluate overall oral health.

For patient with high risk factors, dentist will often recommend more frequent visits to address these specific issues.
